{"id":104,"date":"2020-01-07T14:54:42","date_gmt":"2020-01-07T14:54:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/warehousesafetytips.com\/blog\/?p=104"},"modified":"2020-03-09T18:30:18","modified_gmt":"2020-03-09T18:30:18","slug":"warehouse-safety-tips-episode-3-top-10-safety-tips","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/warehousesafetytips.com\/blog\/warehouse-safety-tips-episode-3-top-10-safety-tips\/","title":{"rendered":"Warehouse Safety Tips | Episode 3 | Top 10 Safety Tips"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Audioboom player\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" width=\"100%\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/embeds.audioboom.com\/posts\/7472020\/embed\/v4#?secret=rp47sEjxMC\" data-secret=\"rp47sEjxMC\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><!--block-->On this episode of Warehouse Safety Tips &#8211; we&#8217;re going to discuss the Top 10 Safety Tips of the workplace.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><!--block-->So stay tuned&#8230;<\/div>\n<div><!--block--><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><!--block-->Welcome to Warehouse Safety Tips!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><!--block-->You can find the show notes to each episode, links to information mentioned on the podcast, the social media platforms we&#8217;re on, and anything else related to the podcast at WarehouseSafetyTips.com.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><!--block-->If you&#8217;re a seasoned Podcast Listener &#8211; this podcast is going to be different from most you listen to.\u00a0 It&#8217;s based around exactly what the name implies &#8211; Warehouse Safety Tips.\u00a0 And since the people in that industry are busy &#8211; we know time is money, so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><!--block-->And now that all that is out of the way &#8211; let&#8217;s get to the Podcast!<\/div>\n<div><!--block--><\/div>\n<div><!--block--><strong>Safety Training<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><!--block--><\/div>\n<div><!--block-->This first tip sounds like common sense &#8211; but before you can practice safety and productivity, you have to know what&#8217;s expected.\u00a0 And that means being trained by your facility&#8217;s Safety Team &#8211; and staying up to date on new developments and practices.\u00a0 It also means being proactive and looking for ways to constantly improve the 6S Methodology of your facility.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re unaware of what that is &#8211; be sure to listen to Episode One of our Podcast.<\/div>\n<div><!--block--><\/div>\n<div><!--block--><strong>Be Aware Of Your Surroundings<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><!--block--><\/div>\n<div><!--block-->We just mentioned being proactive.\u00a0 That brings us to the second tip of our Top Ten and something that&#8217;s very similar with the campaign that&#8217;s also part of safety, &#8220;If you see something, say something.&#8221;\u00a0 But instead of being limited to suspicious activity and items &#8211; this version would be related more to you&#8217;re responsible for the degree of safety around you.\u00a0 So if you see something that needs attention &#8211; let your safety team know about it.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll revisit this idea with a broader view at the end our Top Ten.<\/div>\n<div><!--block--><\/div>\n<div><!--block--><strong>Preventative Maintenance<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><!--block--><\/div>\n<div><!--block-->Our third tip is one of those areas many think of as common sense &#8211; but in the long run is one of the most important areas of all &#8211; and that&#8217;s prevention.\u00a0 An overwhelming amount of issues can be avoided with an ounce of prevention.\u00a0 This prevention can come in the form of not participating, reporting, and\/or not condoning horseplay | assuring maintenance is being kept up on the tools and machinery you&#8217;re responsible for | and\/or something as simple as making sure there&#8217;s a place for everything and everything&#8217;s in its place.<\/div>\n<div><!--block--><\/div>\n<div><!--block--><strong>Pride In Your Work<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><!--block--><\/div>\n<div><!--block-->E.L. James is quoted as saying, \u201cIf a job&#8217;s worth doing, it&#8217;s worth doing well.\u201d\u00a0 Taking pride in your work goes hand in hand with safety &#8211; and it&#8217;s our fourth tip.\u00a0 Incidents are unlikely to occur when you&#8217;re dotting your i&#8217;s an crossing your t&#8217;s.<\/div>\n<div><!--block--><br \/>\n<strong>Safety Equipment<\/strong>Our fifth tip makes sure you &#8211; and everyone around you &#8211; are always wearing and utilizing the proper safety equipment.\u00a0 This includes &#8211; but in no means is limited to &#8211; hard hats, gloves, uniforms, lock out tag out equipment, braces, steel toe boots, glasses or goggles, and harnesses.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><!--block--><strong>Before continuing on with our Top 10 Safety Tips &#8211; let&#8217;s hear a word about one of our sponsors.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>We&#8217;re proud to have Mighty Line as THE Official Floor Sign \/ Floor Marking Company for the Warehouse Safety Tips Podcast and Site.
