Today, we\u2019re digging into practical ways to tighten PPE buy-in and accountability across the warehouse floor.<\/p>\n<p>Your facility stocks hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and high-vis vests. The challenge is making sure they\u2019re used correctly and every time. A few focused actions will move PPE from \u201crecommended\u201d to \u201csecond nature.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few tips to assist you with PPE buy-in and accountability:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Deliver clear, hands-on training.<\/strong>\u00a0Show, don\u2019t just tell. Let team members try on gear, adjust straps, and test visibility. Keep sessions short, focused, and tied to real tasks so the lessons stick.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Invite feedback fast.<\/strong>\u00a0Scratched lenses, torn gloves, or foggy face shields create friction. Encourage workers to speak up the moment PPE fails or feels uncomfortable.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Put employees on the selection committee.<\/strong>\u00a0You can show two or three approved options, and let the crew vote. Gear that fits their hands and heads is gear they\u2019ll wear without reminders.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recognize the good catches.<\/strong>\u00a0A quick shout-out during shift huddles\u2014\u201cThanks, Maria, for flagging that cracked helmet\u201d\u2014reinforces that speaking up matters.
