It&#8217;s based around exactly what the name implies &#8211; Warehouse Safety Tips. And since the people in that industry are busy &#8211; we know time is money, so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible.<\/p>\n<p>And now that all that is out of the way &#8211; let&#8217;s get to the Podcast!<\/p>\n<div>For the 4 &#8220;What If?&#8221; Situations we&#8217;ve chosen &#8211; we&#8217;ll be going from what we feel and\/or hope are most likely to occur, down to least likely.<\/div>\n<p>One of the signs you&#8217;ll see displayed around your facility &#8211; as well as one you&#8217;ll be given training on &#8211; is the HMIS Color Bar.\u00a0 This sign will show you the 4 Levels of Hazards you need to be aware of.<\/p>\n<p>The HMIS Color Bar consists of 4 Colors.\u00a0 Each Color Bar has a Numeric Hazard Level associated with it.\u00a0 These levels range from 0(Zero) or no risk &#8211; up to 4, which signifies the highest risk.<\/p>\n<p>As you know &#8211; we keep these Podcasts short and to the point &#8211; so know this is a VERY high-level look at the HMIS Color Bar.<\/p>\n<p>The colors on this sign are as follows.<\/p>\n<p>Blue is for Health Hazards.\u00a0 In addition to the Numeric Hazard Level &#8211; this level also has a space for an Asterisk.\u00a0 If you see this Asterisk &#8211; it means there&#8217;s also a Chronic Health Hazard, when long-term exposure is present.<\/p>\n<p>Red is for Flammability Hazards.\u00a0 With this and the other levels &#8211; each of the 5 Numeric Hazard Levels can mean different things.\u00a0 Be sure to get with your Safety Coordinator to know what each of these Numeric Hazard Levels means for each color of the sign.<\/p>\n<p>Before moving on &#8211; here&#8217;s a word from one of our sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve ever been to or worked in a warehouse &#8211; you know just how important safety is to both management and staff.
