this podcast is going to be different from most you listen to.\u00a0 It&#8217;s based around exactly what the name implies &#8211; Warehouse Safety Tips.\u00a0 And since the people in that industry are busy &#8211; we know time is money, so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible.<\/p>\n<p>And now that all that is out of the way &#8211; let&#8217;s get to the Podcast!<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\nI just received a notification from LinkedIn about a post entitled\u00a0<em>&#8220;Workplace Re-Entry:\u00a0 When Is It Happening?&#8221;<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>For those individuals considered non-essential, I think restrictions are here to stay for a while.\u00a0 And if you haven&#8217;t been released from distanced duties yet &#8211; I wouldn&#8217;t hold your breath.\u00a0 So my answer to the LinkedIn Post would be, &#8220;Not Soon!&#8221;\u00a0 Of course &#8211; I&#8217;m not in charge of and\/or privileged to any information to make accurate predictions on the matter.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In my opinion, a better question would be,\u00a0<em>&#8220;What do you do when you&#8217;re essential and working from home isn&#8217;t an option?&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>Like it or not &#8211; warehouses HAVE to keep working or almost EVERYTHING comes to a stop.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We spoke about this on a recent podcast &#8211; but it&#8217;s worth mentioning again.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Although this is a high-level list of things to do &#8211; they&#8217;re MUSTS for being allowed to keep working in a Distanced Culture.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>By now, your facility should have measures in place for Social Distancing.\u00a0 This will include an action plan &#8211; and in most cases, signs and\/or floor markings reminding you of those plans in reference to where you are at the time.\u00a0 Knowing and even more importantly, following those plans, signs, and\/or floor markings will be half the battle.<\/li>\n<li>Wearing appropriate PPE &#8211; ESPECIALLY masks and gloves.<\/li>\n<li>Following your Kindergarten Rules.\u00a0 Wash and keep your hands to yourself &#8211; and cover your mouth by coughing and\/or sneezing into your elbow.<\/li>\n<li>Stand apart &#8211; generally 6 ft &#8211; from fellow staff whenever possible.\u00a0 And stagger breaks and lunches to limit the number of people together in the same space.<\/li>\n<li>If possible &#8211; implement one-way traffic flows.<\/li>\n<li>Sanitize whenever appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Most of these things have become second nature &#8211;
