we know time is money, so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible.<\/p>\n<p>And now that all that is out of the way &#8211; let&#8217;s get to the Podcast!<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\nMany of the topics for this podcast come from a NON-Safety origin.\u00a0 Our topic today is one of those.<\/p>\n<p>Do you believe in Multitasking?\u00a0 More importantly, have you ever been asked if you&#8217;re good at it?\u00a0 I feel like it&#8217;s one of those questions interviewers ask in order to see how full of bologna you are!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure many people &#8220;think&#8221; they&#8217;re good at multitasking &#8211; but in all likelihood, they&#8217;re probably not.\u00a0 Why do I feel the idea of multitasking is bologna and that people can&#8217;t do it effectively?\u00a0 Simply put &#8211; you can&#8217;t ride two horses with one butt!<\/p>\n<p>Can people balance on a ball while hula hooping and juggling?\u00a0 YEP!\u00a0 But trust me &#8211; even though that could be considered multitasking, it&#8217;s more A LOT of practice combined into a routine.<\/p>\n<p>What multitasking &#8211; attempting to do several things at the same time &#8211; actually does is keep you constantly distracted and slows you down.\u00a0 Ultimately, it decreases overall productivity and focus.<\/p>\n<p>So how do you fix it?\u00a0 The 5S Methodology!\u00a0 It has us eliminate all items other than those we need, arrange and use them in the most effective way possible, and constantly monitor the situation to assure it&#8217;s been done as streamlined and safe as possible.<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The old sayings we&#8217;ve heard all our lives have left us clues.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;Inch-by-inch it&#8217;s a cinch.\u00a0 Mile-by-mile it&#8217;s a trial.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;How do you eat an elephant?\u00a0 One bite at a time.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>And DOZENS more!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The overarching message is the same with all of them.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t try to do everything at once.\u00a0 Instead, break tasks into smaller tasks and knock them out one by one until complete.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Before moving on &#8211;
