Warehouse Safety Tips.\u00a0 And since the people in that industry are busy &#8211; we know time is money so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible.<\/p>\n<p>And now that all that is out of the way &#8211; let&#8217;s get to the Podcast!<\/p>\n<p>Celebrate Safety<\/p>\n<p>Today is an exciting day for Warehouse Safety Tips!\u00a0 It&#8217;s our 3rd Anniversary of bringing safety tips and information to you and your facility!<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to this anniversary and celebrating safety &#8211; there are a lot of takeaways we&#8217;d like you to consider.<\/p>\n<p>The first is consistency.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve been fortunate to bring you this podcast for the last 156 weeks without fail.\u00a0 Did situations arise that could have broken that streak?\u00a0 Of course!\u00a0 But when you commit to a weekly podcast &#8211; that&#8217;s what you deliver.\u00a0 Adherence to safety has to have the same sort of unwavering consistency.\u00a0 You cannot take part in it when you feel like it.\u00a0 It has to be front of mind at all times.<\/p>\n<p>Next is repetition.\u00a0 If you watch, read, or listen to our podcast and posts long enough &#8211; you&#8217;re going to notice topics you&#8217;ve heard previously mentioned.\u00a0 Even though new safety tips and procedures are constantly being created &#8211; some things will always be sound advice.\u00a0 Keep this saying in mind.\u00a0 &#8220;Repetition Is The Mother Of Skill.&#8221;\u00a0 It means &#8211; the longer you do something, the better you&#8217;ll get at it.\u00a0 Just make sure you apply it correctly.\u00a0 You can do the wrong thing repeatedly as well.<\/p>\n<p>Last &#8211; but certainly not least &#8211; is recognizing and celebrating safety.\u00a0 I had an undercover job many years ago, examining and reporting to management.\u00a0 Although I was supposed to report things like drug use, sabotage, and other harmful activities &#8211; I also reported positive activities I witnessed.\u00a0 There were employees and contractors doing things above and beyond their duties that would have gone wholly unrecognized had I not reported it.\u00a0 Having a &#8220;Days Since An Accident&#8221; Sign is good &#8211; but taking the time to reinforce good safety behaviors is better.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re management or a Safety Coordinator &#8211; take the time to regularly walk your facility in search of things being done correctly &#8211; and be sure to point it out.\u00a0 Doing so not only allows for recognition &#8211; but also allows you to see things that can be improved upon.<\/p>\n<p>As we embark on our 4th Year of bringing you safety tips &#8211;
