let&#8217;s get to the Podcast!<\/p>\n<p>The 5S Methodology &#8211; Straighten<\/p>\n<p>If you caught our podcast over the last two weeks, you&#8217;d know we started covering The 5S Methodology.<\/p>\n<p>We covered the intro to 5S and the first &#8220;S&#8221; &#8211; Sort.\u00a0 As it applies to 5S, sorting involves going through your work areas and facility and determining what&#8217;s essential and non-essential.<\/p>\n<p>This week, we will cover the next &#8220;S&#8221; &#8211; Straighten.\u00a0 Straightening &#8211; as it pertains to 5S &#8211;\u00a0 involves making everything essential quickly and efficiently accessible.\u00a0 In addition \u2013 it allows for a system of always knowing where those essential items are, who\u2019s using them, and where they go when no longer needed.\u00a0 Another phrase for this step is, Set In Order.\u00a0 So, in addition to what was mentioned above \u2013 it also entails making sure items are organized by priority of use.\u00a0 Following this step allows you to keep your tools available to those that need them when they need them the most.<\/p>\n<p>Next week, we&#8217;ll discuss the next &#8220;S&#8221;
