this podcast is going to be different from most you listen to.\u00a0 It&#8217;s based around exactly what the name implies &#8211; Warehouse Safety Tips.\u00a0 And since the people in that industry are busy &#8211; we know time is money, so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible.<\/p>\n<p>And now that all that is out of the way &#8211; let&#8217;s get to the Podcast!<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\nToday we&#8217;re going to be talking about\u00a0 Stop Sign Awareness.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Right from the start &#8211; it&#8217;s not just the classic Red Stop Sign we&#8217;re referring to here.\u00a0 This podcast includes lights, signs, tape, and displays with a Stop Message associated with them.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Have you ever had to work in an environment that smells REALLY bad?\u00a0 When you first arrive &#8211; you think, &#8220;How do people deal with this?!?&#8221;\u00a0 A few minutes later &#8211; you can hardly smell any longer.\u00a0 You just get used to it.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The exact same thing happens with visuals.\u00a0 When you first see a sign, tape, display, and\/or light &#8211; for a while, they&#8217;ll catch your attention.\u00a0 But as time goes by &#8211; they eventually become invisible to you.\u00a0 You might retain the muscle memory of stopping at certain areas &#8211; but many times, don&#8217;t actually see the visual.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Do you see how this could be extremely dangerous?\u00a0 It might go days, weeks, and months before an issue occurs &#8211; but eventually will.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>And keep in mind &#8211; it might not be the person that&#8217;s supposed to be seeing the visual that&#8217;s the issue.\u00a0 It might be someone passing through an area &#8211; that&#8217;s clearly marked to avoid &#8211; that causes the issue.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Regardless of who is responsible for not following the &#8220;signs&#8221; &#8211; the first mistake might be their last.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>It&#8217;s vital that Safety Teams and\/or management make paying attention to ALL the signs &#8211;
