this podcast is going to be different from most you listen to.\u00a0 It&#8217;s based around exactly what the name implies &#8211; Warehouse Safety Tips.\u00a0 And since the people in that industry are busy &#8211; we know time is money, so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible.<\/p>\n<p>And now that all that is out of the way &#8211; let&#8217;s get to the Podcast!<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\nI&#8217;ve said this so many times that it&#8217;s becoming a broken record &#8211; but it&#8217;s true nonetheless.\u00a0 Many of our podcasts are situations that happen directly to me.\u00a0 And our podcast today is one of &#8217;em.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Yesterday, my family and I went out for coffee together.\u00a0 We enjoyed several cups of coffee with one another &#8211; and before leaving, I grabbed myself a To-Go Cup to enjoy while working.\u00a0 As I was getting ready to get in the car &#8211; I felt a searing pain in my hand.\u00a0 The bottom of my To-Go Cup released just enough to create a stream of scalding hot coffee to come out.\u00a0 Unfortunately, it was large &#8211; so the stream just kept pouring through my fingers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>My wife grabbed the cup and took it back into the coffee shop to explain what had just occurred &#8211; and the girl behind the counter said, &#8220;Oh!\u00a0 That&#8217;s the second time that&#8217;s happened!&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>WHAT?!?<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I&#8217;m not litigious &#8211; but that&#8217;s NOT the answer you want to be on record as saying after an incident, nor is it the response you should get and\/or want to hear.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>So how does this ridiculous situation apply to YOUR facility?<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We always say, &#8220;If you see something, say something.&#8221;\u00a0 But what we should change it to is, &#8220;If you see something, DO something!&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Could you imagine an OSHA Representative being told, &#8220;Oh!\u00a0 People get hurt in that area all the time.&#8221;\u00a0 Spoiler Alert &#8211;
